Metro-tukku engages employees 

Finnish Wihuri Metro-tukku is one of the largest daily goods wholesale operators in Finland. Metro’s product selection includes 20 000 products, from fresh and frozen foods to industrial foods, alcoholic and brewery beverages as well non-food items. Couple of times a year Metro-tukku reveals the new season products to its employees and retailers.
Metro-tukku was participating at event hosted in ifairs and really enjoyed the multitude of customizable features and gamifications, which was a perfect fit for bringing Metro-tukku’s digital employee communication to next level. Company chose ifairs as the partner to improve the digital communication and fun at work.
Fredrik Grahn, senior marketing manager says: ”We wanted to try something new and provide our employees possibility for interaction and deep employee engagement in branded environment. It was a plus, that ifairs platform was open also after the event for employees to download the handout materials and see the recordings from the event.
We are already planning our second event and going to use a lot of the gamification features like virtual Goodiebags to give extra spice to our events.”
Ifairs’s solution enabled Metro-tukku to present a strong brand to its employees. Everything from colors to company specific fonts to visuals, all fully branded. Metro-tukku wanted also to have a multi-agenda displaying the various presentations combined with the interactive Q&A sessions in different virtual departments after the main schedule was finalized
Metro-tukku event was a great success. Employees were positively surprised by the good mood and relaxed feeling at the event. Many of the employees stating: “Really pleased with the event. I have missed the engagement”.
Metro-tukku will continue running the virtual New Season product- presentations in ifairs also during the autumn 2022.
